Miran’s passion for tennis began as a youngster growing up in Brampton, Ontario. As a competitive tennis player in his junior years he trained at the Trivett/McDadi Tennis Academy in Brampton. At the age of 16, he won his first junior provincial and national titles. In 1999, he accepted a full tennis scholarship to the University of New Mexico in the United States. From 1998 to 2004 he competed in Futures events across Canada and the United States. In 2004 he had the privilege of teaching for the Nike Tennis Camp at the University of Illinois in the United States under the direction of world-renowned tennis coach Craig Tiley. Upon returning to Canada he worked as an Assistant Pro at the Rosedale Tennis Club in Toronto, Ontario. He is a Tennis Canada Club Pro 1 certified instructor.
